Reach infrastructure when the primary network is unavailable.
Use a separate management plane for secure remote console access and remediation of critical network devices.
Network Resilience Platform
High-density Total Out-of-Band® management with secure remote access, edge compute, automation, optional global 4G LTE connectivity, and centralized management through ZERO.

More than a console server. A platform for access, recovery, automation and edge operations.
The Gearlinx NR4400 is an enterprise network resilience platform designed for mission-critical data centers, colocations, enterprise edge environments, branch locations and distributed infrastructure. It gives network teams a separate, secure management plane to reach critical equipment when normal in-band access is unavailable.
With 16- and 48-port models, optional global 4G LTE, high-speed Ethernet, USB console management, secure boot, TPM 2.0, container support and virtualization, the NR4400 is built to support both immediate recovery and modern infrastructure operations.

Product Anatomy
The NR4400 consolidates console access, network connectivity, USB management, local compute, security, and optional cellular connectivity in a 1RU platform.

Interface configuration varies by model. See the full technical specifications and current datasheet for ordering details.
Core Capabilities
NR4400 is designed to move the out-of-band conversation beyond basic console access and into faster recovery, automation, secure operations and infrastructure control.
Use a separate management plane for secure remote console access and remediation of critical network devices.
NR4416-4G and NR4448-4G include global CAT12 4G LTE with dual SIM capability. The SIM slots are software-selectable and hardware-switchable.
Support for OCI containers and Linux KVM virtualization enables applications, services and guest operating systems at the edge.
Zero Touch Provisioning, REST API capabilities and Python support modern NetOps and DevOps workflows.
Secure boot, TPM 2.0, nftables firewall, WireGuard and IPsec VPN support, plus TACACS+, RADIUS and directory-based authentication.
NR4400 integrates with Gearlinx ZERO for centralized access and management without making the hardware page dependent on a separate management stack.
How NR4400 Works
When in-band access is degraded or unavailable, NR4400 gives authorized teams another way to reach connected infrastructure. Optional 4G LTE models can provide cellular connectivity independent of the primary network.
ZERO sits above the appliance as the centralized management layer; the NR4400 remains the on-site platform for access, compute, automation and remediation.
Choose Your NR4400
The NR4400 family is available in 16- or 48-port configurations, with optional global 4G LTE for environments that require a cellular access path.
All NR4400 models are 1RU, use dual AC power input, and support the NR4400 software and security platform. The -4G models add the cellular module.
Help Me Choose a ModelWhere It Fits
NR4400 supports both high-density and geographically distributed environments where secure remote access, recovery and operational control matter.
High-density serial access, redundant power, 10GbE interfaces and a separate management plane for critical equipment.
Remote access, automation and compute at sites where IT staffing may be limited or centralized elsewhere.
Consistent management and recovery capabilities across geographically dispersed network locations.
Support provisioning, deployment, configuration, monitoring, remediation and ongoing infrastructure operations.
Managed Through ZERO
NR4400 connects to Gearlinx ZERO for centralized visibility, access and management. The dedicated ZERO product page can carry the deeper story around cloud management, organizations, lifecycle information and fleet operations.

NR4400 FAQ
The NR4400 is a 1RU network resilience platform designed for secure out-of-band access, high-density serial console management, optional 4G LTE connectivity, edge compute and automation. It is centrally managed through Gearlinx ZERO.
Yes. The NR4400 provides 16- or 48-port RS-232 console-server capability. Gearlinx positions it more broadly as a network resilience platform because it also supports edge compute, automation, optional cellular connectivity and centralized management.
The primary difference is serial-port density. NR4416 models provide 16 software-selectable RS-232 ports; NR4448 models provide 48. Each density is available with or without the 4G LTE module.
Yes on the -4G models. NR4416-4G and NR4448-4G include a global CAT12 4G LTE module with dual SIM capability. The SIM slots are software-selectable and hardware-switchable.
NR4400 can be administered through the Gearlinx software platform and is integrated with ZERO for centralized management and access.
Yes. The NR4400 supports Open Container Initiative containers and Linux KVM virtualization, with 8 GB DDR4 memory and 64 GB SSD storage for logs, containers and virtual machines.
Security capabilities include TPM 2.0, secure boot, nftables firewall, WireGuard and IPsec VPNs, and AAA methods including TACACS+, RADIUS, Active Directory/OpenLDAP and local fallback. OpenID-based SSO is also supported through the Gearlinx platform.
That is a core use case for out-of-band management. The NR4400 provides a separate management plane to reach connected infrastructure, and cellular models can add an independent 4G LTE connectivity option when the primary network path is unavailable.
